Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy explains what personal data whattomine.com ("WhatToMine", "we") collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, which cookies we use and what your rights are. The Terms of Use are on a separate page.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is the operator of WhatToMine. Contact: [email protected] or the contact form.

What we collect and why

When you visit the site

If you create an account

We keep this data until you delete your account in Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

If you subscribe

Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and processes your payment and billing details as an independent controller. We receive and store only your Paddle customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status and the billing details you add for invoices. We never see your card details.

If you contact us or suggest a pool

Your name, email address and message are emailed to our inbox so we can reply. They are not stored in our database.

If you are a hardware seller partner

Your email address, password hash and the offers you manage in the partner portal.

Advertising

The site is free because it shows ads. Ads are served by Sevio through Google Ad Manager and its advertising partners, who may use cookies and similar identifiers to select, measure and limit ads. Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first through Google's consent tool (IAB TCF). You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Subscribers don't see ads.

We also check whether ads were blocked, to show a subscription hint, and load an ad-recovery script from html-load.com.
